JahnNell Lynn Shofner, 51, of Sparland, Illinois, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 3, 2026, at Carle Methodist Hospital.

Born on August 19, 1974, in Spring Valley, she was the daughter of Daniel Davis and the late Nancy (Austin) Davis. On May 31, 1997, she married the love of her life, Randy Shofner, in Henry. Their marriage was rooted in faith, love, and committed devotion, and he survives to cherish her memory.

JahnNell is also survived by her parents, Dan and Susan Davis of Henry; her beloved son, Michael Davis of Sparland; and her cherished daughter, Miranda (Dakota) Massey-Schilling of Spring Bay. She is further survived by her siblings Tammy (Wes) Henderson of Auburndale, Florida; Daniel (Bonnie) Davis Jr. of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina; Nels (Shelly) Davis of Columbus, North Carolina; and Amy (Jeff) Schlosser of McNabb, Illinois; as well as many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

She was welcomed into Heaven by her mother, Nancy Davis; her sisters, AhnNette Davis and Melissa Rice; and her beloved aunt, "Packy" Nolan.

A proud graduate of Henry-Senachwine High School, JahnNell participated in cheerleading and track before answering her true calling-caring for others. She earned both her Associate and Bachelor's degrees in Nursing and spent over 20 years serving faithfully at Methodist Medical Center, as well as caring for residents in local nursing homes. Nursing was not just her profession; it was her ministry. She lived out Christ's love through every patient she touched, offering comfort, dignity, and compassion.

JahnNell was a member of First Baptist Church and faithfully attended Bible study at Chillicothe Bible Church. Her relationship with Jesus was the foundation of her life. She loved the Lord with her whole heart, trusted Him fully, and carried a faith that never wavered-even in the hardest seasons.

Above all, JahnNell adored her children. Being a mother was her greatest joy and proudest accomplishment. She loved Mike and Miranda with a fierce, unconditional love that only a mother can give. She prayed over them, encouraged them, celebrated their victories, and stood beside them through every challenge. Her heart overflowed with pride for the people they had become. Her children were her world, and her love for them was constant, steady, and constant - a reflection of the very love of Christ she so faithfully followed.

She treasured time with her family and found joy in the simple blessings God provided-especially the deer runs her husband would take her on through the quiet rural fields. She loved listening to the radio, singing along, and dancing with joy. Her laughter was contagious, her smile radiant, and her faith inspiring.

Though our hearts are broken, we rejoice knowing she is healed, whole, and resting in the presence of her Savior.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 14, at Lenz Memorial Home, with visitation one hour prior. A private family burial will take place at a later date at Salem Lutheran Cemetery #2.

Memorials may be made to Bikers for Ta-Tas, where she proudly served as their "Rosie the Riveter" poster girl.
